On overseas engineering projects, design, procurement and construction often suffer from unclear contract interfaces, differing standards and poor communication, leading to schedule delays and cost overruns. As the owner's project management representative, we coordinate every stage of design, procurement and construction so that all parties work to a single plan and quality standard.
Scope of Services
Preparing the overall project schedule and phase-by-phase control plans
Organising design reviews and aligning design progress with site requirements
Reviewing procurement plans, supplier qualifications and key equipment procurement milestones
Monitoring construction progress, quality and safety, and running site coordination meetings
Managing changes, claims and contract interfaces
Organising stage acceptance, as-built documentation and commissioning support

How are you different from a general contractor?
A general contractor performs design, procurement and construction and is responsible for delivery. We are the owner's project management consultant: we do not represent the contractor and provide only coordination, supervision and management services to ensure the project's goals are met.
Can you do the design or construction yourselves?
We do not provide design, construction or installation services, but we help the owner organise, review and manage designers and contractors so that their work meets requirements and local standards.
At what stage should EPCM services be engaged?
Ideally after the investment decision and before design starts, so that an overall control system can be set up. We can also step in during design or construction, assess the current state of the project and put corrective measures in place.
